What if Examplify and/or the laptop freezes during an assessment?

If during an assessment, Examplify freezes and it is no longer possible to use the mouse or keyboard, a hard reset of the computer is recommended: in most cases, this involves holding down the laptop’s power button until the computer shuts down, and then turning the computer back on.
Examplify should immediately re-launch, and Examplify logs a student’s responses as that person progresses through the assessment so that it is possible to continue sitting the assessment or exit, as desired.

Please note: ExamSoft advises that Examplify users temporarily disable their anti-virus software and close all other applications before starting the assessment, in order to avoid technical errors from occurring.

Please note: When Examplify launches or concludes a secure test-taking environment on a computer, it is typical for this process to take between 30 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on what other applications were left running on the computer.
