To open an assessment:

1.       ExamSoft advises that you temporarily disable your anti-virus software and close all other applications before starting the assessment

2.       Enter the exam password.  (For mock assessments, the password is asd123)

3.       Click on “Start Exam” to open the assessment. 

4.       Sit tight: Examplify is creating a secure test-taking environment.  Depending on what other applications you left running, this process may take between 30 sec to 3 min. Your other applications are being closed until you exit the assessment;
You will not be able to switch to another application until you exit the assessment;
You will be disconnected from the internet until you exit the assessment.

5.       Follow the prompts to begin answering questions.

To exit the assessment:

1.       Click “Exam Controls” in the top left corner of the window and select “Submit Exam”

2.       Follow the prompts to confirm that you want to exit the assessment.

3.       Sit tight: Examplify is closing down the secure test-taking environment.  Depending on what other applications you left running, this process may take between 30 sec to 5 min. 
Applications closed by ExamSoft are opening;
Your ability to navigate elsewhere in your operating system is being re-reactivated;
Your internet connection is being re-established.

4.       A green screen will confirm that your assessment has been successfully submitted.
Note: Examplify attempts to upload your assessment responses automatically but sometimes does so before an internet connection has been established.  If Examplify displays a gold screen with an error message, wait until you have an internet connection, then click the button to re-submit your assessment responses.

Don’t forget to enable your anti-virus software again!
