If you see an Unauthorized Access on medportal message when you click the button

This means your medportal profile doesn't have access. Currently only the 3-4 active cohorts are able to access UpToDate, however if the program determines you need access medportal support would be able to provide that on a case by case basis, however we need it in writing from the program.

If you think your UserId doesn't work

UpToDate doesn't have anything to do with your particular medportal account, access is provided through a generic login. Access to that login is restricted through your medportal profile. So if you click the buttons and somehow end up on UpToDates website, that means you do have access, but something is up on their end. Perhaps check to see if your PC\Macs date\time is correct.  If you see an error on the Medportal side, that usually means your profile doesn't (or no longer) has access. In that case, please contact the program.

SecurityAgent Login Failed error when attempting to access UpToDate on uptodate.com

If you are receiving an error while attempting to access UpToDate there's a chance the system time on your PC is set incorrectly. To set the date and time on your PC follow the instructions below.
For Windows PC:
To set your time and time zone in Windows 10, go to Start  > Settings  > Time & language > Date & time.

For MacOS:

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Date & Time.
  2. Click the lock  the lock icon in the corner of the window, then enter your administrator password to unlock the settings. (The settings are dimmed when locked.)
  3. In the Date & Time pane, make sure that ”Set date and time automatically” is selected and your Mac is connected to the internet. Your Mac can then get the current date and time from the network time server selected in the adjacent menu.
