I have forgotten my medportal username

Your medportal username will usually take the form firstname.lastname@medportal.ca. If you do not remember it, you may try your luck at our password reset utility, where you can use your registered email address to have your username and a password reset link sent to you.

How does this work? When we create your medportal account, we include the email address we sent your credentials to in your record. This way, if you supply our password reset utility with either your medportal username, or registered email address (the address to which your username and password were originally sent), the system will automatically email a link to your email. Clicking this link will take you to a page where you can reset your password. It will also give you your username.

If you are still having problems, we will be glad to help. Simply email medportal support at support@medportal.ca for UG accounts and pgsupport@medportal.ca for PG accounts.

Requesting a password reset

Go to http://medportal.ca and click the "Can't Access Your Account?" link. Type in your registered email address (often your @mcmaster.ca or @hhsc.ca address) and fill in the code you see. If you supplied the correct email address, an email will be sent to you with your username and a link to reset your password. If you don't need to change your password, you can delete the email and the link will expire after 24 hours.
