  How do faculty and staff view the password that allows students to proceed with an assessment?

Faculty or staff must have administrative privileges in ExamSoft to view assessment passwords.
Please Note: Assessment passwords should not be distributed to students electronically.  By sharing the assessment password in the examination room, only those students present in the room will have access to sit the assessment.

If an assessment password was emailed to students, then conceivably a student would be able to enter into and complete the assessment somewhere else, where the individual might have access to notes or a means to look up the correct responses to the questions.

1.       Log into ExamSoft at http://www.examsoft.com/mcmastermed
You will be taken into the ExamSoft portal.

2.       Click on the blue “Build Assessment” button, on the orange “Create” button, or on “Assessments” in the black ribbon at the top of the page. 
In all three instances, you will be taken to the Assessments section of ExamSoft.

3.       In the list of folders on the left side of the page, click on the plus symbols to expand the folders, and click on the name of the folder itself to view the list of assessments saved in that folder. 
The Password column for the list of assessments indicates the corresponding password that students must type in Examplify in order to begin sitting an assessment.  

Please Note: Assessment passwords should not be distributed to students electronically.  By sharing the assessment password in the examination room, only those students present in the room will have access to sit the assessment.

4.       Alternatively, by clicking on a corresponding pencil icon underneath the Post column, faculty and staff can view both the assessment password and secure review password. 
Clicking on the pencil icon for an assessment opens a pop-up window with the Posting information for the assessment. 
The assessment password must be typed by students into Examplify in order to begin sitting an assessment. 
The review password must be typed by students into Examplify in order to begin the secure review of an assessment. (if the secure review feature has been set-up by the instructor when the assessment was originally posted)
